Housing Rehabilitation and Repairs

DHCD helps eligible low- and moderate-income applicants finance home improvements including the repair and replacement of roofing, heating, plumbing and electrical systems, and disability accessibility modifications. Assistance for repairs is mainly in the form of loans, some of which may be forgivable or deferred based on eligibility. Grants may be available for lead and disability accessibility, based on eligibility.

Assistance is available only for eligible owner-occupied properties.
