Broadway East IIA Community Conversation

The Broadway East Community Conversation took place Monday, September 25, 2023, at Harford Heights Academy.

Broadway East is a developing and thriving neighborhood with a mix of millennials and legacy residents.  The emerging community features local area parks such as Collington Square Park, innovative schools, religious institutions and opportunities for investment along the N. Gay and N. Avenue corridor.  Broadway East lies in the heart of East Baltimore and is located East of the historic Greenmount Cemetery. Parts of the Biddle Street and Middle East neighborhoods are located in this IIA footprint.

Broadway East Project Tracker - This Broadway East Project Tracker is connected and updated live from Google Sheets and managed by the DHCD representatives for each neighborhood.  The tracker includes development projects happening in the Broadway East Impact Investment area.

At the same time, the preservation and creation of quality, housing - both rental and homeownership - must be planned for at the outset to achieve successful mixed-income communities. Supporting existing and long-term residents will not be an after-thought.
