These nine city-owned lots are surrounded to the north, east and west by the backs of rowhomes.  These rowhomes shade the perimeter of these lots.   To the south, there are nine vacant lots that are a mix of privately- and publicly-owned lots that are not available for purchase or lease.    The parcel has a slight southern incline.   The location was chosen by the New Broadway East Community Association as a good location for an urban agriculture site in their neighborhood.
