QuickTrac Telephone Scheduling Instructions
Customers can call the QuickTrac phone system to schdule inspections 24 hours a day.
Helpful Hints
- When first using QuickTrac, listen to the entire message or list of options. Once you are familiar with the system, you can make your selection at any time.
- Please write down and save your confirmation number for future reference.
- If using a cell phone, make sure you have a clear connection to prevent any interruptions in the transmission of your commands.
- Save the QuickTrac number (443-984-2776) in your cell phone, so you can quickly access QuickTrac.
Instructions for Scheduling an Inspection by Phone
Call 443-984-2776. Press [1] then...
A) Enter permit type
Press [1] to enter a permit number
If you pressed [1] to enter a permit number:
- Press [1] for COM permits (Combination)
- Press [3] for ELE permits (Electrical)
- Press [4] for MEC permits (Mechanical)
- Press [5] for PLM permits (Plumbing)
- Press [6] for DEM permits (Demolition)
- Press [7] for USE permits (Use & Occupancy)
- Press [8] for TMP permits (Temporary)
B) Enter permit number (begin with year). The permit number can be found at the top right of your permit
The system will read back the address associated with the permit entered. If you did not find the permit you were looking for, press the [#] key. Otherwise, continue.
C) Enter four-digit inspection code
Refer to the inspection code list for a list of four-digit codes. Enter the code at any time, or press [*] for a spoken list of codes.
D) Select date for inspection
The system will allow you to schedule the inspection up to five business days in advance.
The cut-off time for scheduling an inspection is 2:30 p.m. the day prior to the date requested.
After selecting a date, you may:
- Press [1] to leave a message for the inspector
- Press [2] to continue without leaving a message
- Press [#] to select a different inspection date
After scheduling the inspection, you may:
- Press [1] to hear your confirmation number and end the call
- Press [2] to schedule another inspection on the same permit
- Press [3] to schedule an inspection on a different permit
- Press [4] to return to the main menu
Please save your confirmation number for future reference.
Cancel an Inspection
Call 443-984-2776. Press [2] then...
A) Enter permit type
Press [1] to enter a permit number
If you pressed [1] to enter a permit number:
- Press [1] to enter a permit number
- Press [1] for COM permits (Combination)
- Press [3] for ELE permits (Electrical)
- Press [4] for MEC permits (Mechanical)
- Press [5] for PLM permits (Plumbing)
- Press [6] for DEM permits (Demolition)

D) Cancel and/or reschedule the inspection
After entering the inspection code, you may:
- Press [1] to cancel the inspection
- Press [2] to cancel and reschedule the inspection.
Cancellations can be made no later than 7:00 a.m. the day of the scheduled inspection.
If you pressed [1] to cancel the inspection without rescheduling, you may:
- Press [1] to hear your confirmation number and end the call
- Press [2] to cancel another inspection on the same permit
- Press [3] to cancel an inspection on a different permit
- Press [4] to return to the main menu
- Press [9] to repeat this menu
If you pressed [2] to cancel the inspection and reschedule, you may:
- Press [1] to leave a message for the inspector
- Press [2] to continue without leaving a message
- Press [#] to select a different inspection date
Please save your confirmation number for future reference.
Check Inspection Results
Call 443-984-2776. Press [3] then...
A) Enter permit type
Press [1] to enter a permit number
If you pressed [1] to enter a permit number:
- Press [1] for COM permits (Combination)
- Press [3] for ELE permits (Electrical)
- Press [4] for MEC permits (Mechanical)

C) Listen to the inspection results
After listening to inspection results, you may:
- Press [1] to hear your confirmation number and hang up
- Press [2] to hear the results of another inspection on this permit
- Press [3] to hear the results of an inspection on a different permit
- Press [4] to return to the main menu
- Press [9] to repeat this menu
D) To check inspection history, Press 2
Enter your 10 digit Fax Number
- Press [1] if the fax number is local
- Press [2] if the fax number is outside the local area
Wait for Fax approval and estimated time of delivery to be announced.
Please save your confirmation number for future reference.
Check Permit or Plans Review Status
Call 443-984-2776. Press [4] then...
A) Enter permit or plan number (begin with year)
- Press [1] to obtain the status of a permit with plans
- Press [2] to obtain the status of a permit not associated with a plan
B) Listen to permit or plans status
C) Receive faxed or spoken details of history
- Press [1] to receive a faxed summary of permit or plans status
- Enter your 10 digit Fax Number
- Press [1] if the fax number is local
- Press [2] if the fax number is outside the local area
- Wait for Fax approval and estimated time of delivery to be announced.
- Press [2] to hear plans review details spoken, where applicable
After receiving results, you may:
- Press [1] to end your call
- Press [2] to repeat information for the same permit
- Press [3] to hear information for a different permit
- Press [4] to return to the main menu
- Press [9] to repeat this menu
